Aporia's End
How do you outrun a fate printed in code?
Velgrave University, 1946.
Octavia Adkins is a solitary semiotics student with a habit of arriving too early. One morning, she stumbles upon a reclusive group of students prying open a locked closet door, and into a discovery that will alter the course of their lives. Hidden inside is Hemlock, a relic of wartime engineering: a machine that does not predict death, but records it. And every name it types comes true.
Fascinated and horrified, the group tests its limits, sinking deeper into obsession and moral decay. Octavia is pulled into their spiral, unable to look away. But when her own name appears on the page, the experiment becomes a countdown. With her death approaching and her trust in the group unraveling, Octavia must choose whether to resist the machine or surrender to its appeal.
Aporia’s End is a story of obsession, fate, and the perilous cost of knowledge, where dark academia meets post-war paranoia.
